A leading manufacturer of bulk material handling components and longstanding customer has once again put its trust in futronic. The Tettnang control system specialist has been charged with automating a pneumatic conveying system as part of a major project for a Bangladesh based client in the plastics processing industry.

Amongst other things, futronic’s developers will take care of the hardware planning in EPLAN P8 as well as the installation and wiring of a large main cabinet, including a total of ten junction boxes for valves and other components. The power cabinet is rated at 630 amps maximum. The system’s various actuators and sensors are controlled by a controller in the Siemens S7-400 series interacting with a Simatic ET 200SP distributed I/O system, with power being fed into a TT network.

“The order is brand new but several of our electrical designers have already set to work”, explains Stephan Pies, Head of Sales at futronic and the man responsible for the project. “The time frame is very tight and we can’t afford to wait around if we want to meet the deadline”, he adds. The control cabinet and the junction boxes are due to be shipped at the end of October.
