Thomas Pausch, (still) Head of documents management, will retire at the end of the month. For him a new chapter of life is starting, for futronic an era comes to an end: after all Thomas Pausch has been employed for 36 years at futronic. Wolfgang Lachmann thanked Pausch in the name of the management and all the staff for such a long time of fruitful cooperation.

He is a real all-rounder, managing director Wolfgang Lachmann stated in his speech during a small anniversary celebration in the futronic-cafeteria, he went through various specialist areas of the company. At the beginning Pausch worked as technician in the laboratory, later event in a leading position. From 1997 on he was responsible for the quality management and the introduction of the ISO 9001-Standard, an important task for the future of the enterprise, “of which you could be proud of”, Lachmann states. Finally he had worked two years as an interim production manager, before directing the documents management.

„36 years is a long time, for such a long time nowadays hardly anybody stays at the same enterprise.“ Thomas Pausch says. He meanwhile belongs to the few in the house who have known the two company founders and all three succeeding managers. „However, if you enjoy the work and it is also recognized, this could happen“, Pausch resumes. Being a person with an affinity for technology he was happy to witness the development of the information technology and the PC-technology. He also praised the good working atmosphere in all the years and “the fairness in our dealings with each other, the management and the staff.”

“Of course, there were also hard times”, he says, “more than once I had the door handle in my hand”, the 63- years old confesses. However, until today he did not regret that he never walked through the door. „Now finally it seems to be settled“, he concluded his speech, surely a little wistful, and thanked the colleagues for a great and exciting time.
